May Showers

A couple of hours before this photo was taken, the WHOLE scene was white with snow. The white didn’t last long, but hopefully the welcome moisture will seep deep into the parched ground and help our grasses and other forage. It has been very dry, and moisture in any form is always welcome!

Freedom on the Hill

We have no shortage here of wide-open, far views here in Disappointment Valley, but something about this image – a lone mustang against a cloud-streaked sky – says “freedom.” The mustang is Nevada. The location is southwestern Colorado. Heaven on Earth. 🙂
