The big mare band grazes on top of a hill on the sanctuary, as seen from the rimrocks that rise above the eastern edge of the ranch. In the farther distance are our neighbors’ cattle, grazing a BLM allotment north of the ranch.
Mustangs at the End of the Rainbow
Disappointment Valley finally got rain! And to top off that wondrous relief, Mother Nature graced us with the most gorgeous double rainbow. AND Gideon’s band was close at hand to enable the filling of a memory card worth of photos! From left to right: Two Boots, Ember, Smudge, Gideon and Johnnie.
